Our dogs are friends, companions and partners in living life.

As they say, there is something for everyone in this world.  Malamutes are not for everyone.  Their stubborn and independent nature, coupled with an acute intelligence and a strong sense of pack dynamics, offer unique challenges - and unique joys - in sharing your life with such a dog.  And, a commitment to a dog is a commitment for life! Above all - our philosophy is helping ensure that our puppy peopleare the right match both for this breed, and their individual companion.  We want to help guide you to what is right for you and your dog, wherever you may get your dog and whatever breed you ultimately decide is right for you.  This is part of what ensures a "forever home" for the dog you welcome into your life. To ensure a happy match for both you and your dog, please take the time to research the breed and talk to people with experience in the various facets of Malamute ownership.  There is no such thing as too much learning!

We believe in the versatile Alaskan Malamute

Picture
The Alaskan  Malamutes is commonly known as sled dogs  - meaning they were originally breed as hauling freight animals for the inuits in Alaska. Later on they were used for the recreational pursuit of sledding, also known as mushing, as well as for skijoring, bikejoring, and canicross.

However, just because they possess the ability to pull a sled - it does not mean that they cant take pleasure in other activities as well- and even show high performance skills in those as well.

We strongly believe in encouraging our puppy owners to do a lot of different acitivities with their dog(s) like rally obedience agility back packing and tracking - this will stimulate this highly intelligente breed and make it an even greater joy to live with.

Our goal is to produce healthy, good tempered dogs who meet the breed standard as closely as possible; who are built to do the job for which they were originally intended; and who provide many years of love and satisfying companionship to those who own them. To meet this goal, we screen all of our breeding stock for healthy hips, eyes and PN; breed only those dogs with a temperament that, when properly shaped by good socialization and training, can succeed as a family pet; We strive to place each dog in a home that will love that dog for the duration of its life and give it the best opportunity to realize its individual potential.

Polar Dog Fever

Picture
As most others we started out with wanting only one dog...and we were not into anything except plain hobby walks in the woods...but that was only because we didnt know about "Polar Dog Fever".

If you are lucky (as we were) to hook up with an engaged breeder whom will take you into the magnificent world of the Alaskan Malamute - we can only warn you.....YOUR LIFE IS ABOUT TO CHANGE!!

Soon we had 2 dogs....we were to be seen in the show ring, we bought a slede, we are backpacking, bikekjøring and also started to breed our first litter in 2008.

We went from being "regular" dog people to pro malamute fanciers...and we would not want it any other way. Today as breeders we see it as our finest task to make sure all our puppy buyers are presented the great gift of experiences that lies within this wonderful breed.

please go to the gallery to see snapshots from our life so far with this wonderful breed.
